The accessories that are used in the neck region provide an extra charm in the look and are also essential on cold days. Among the various models, we find scarves, scarves, scarves, and also pashminas.
Scarves are usually square and are mainly characterized by light fabrics, such as satin, for example. While the scarves are also made in lighter fabrics, but in a rectangular cut, with or without fringes at the ends.
For the most intensely cold days, scarves are indicated, which are usually in wool or crochet, and warmer. The cut is rectangular, they are usually narrower and tend to be heavier, in addition to being patterned or plain.
The pashminas, which are named after the thread used in their composition, which in their original format come from the hair of wild goats, can also have their most economical version mixed with silk. This accessory can be used on colder days, around the neck, or even as a shawl, to protect yourself from a colder wind.
How to wear pashmina
Check out tips below, created in partnership with fashion consultant Danyla Borobia, to learn how to insert pashminas into your looks, composed with different pieces and for different temperatures.
pashmina with pants

The composition of pashmina in looks with pants can be the right bet for a colder day and still provide a touch of sophistication. However, Danyla also emphasizes the possibility of creating a more casual look with the combo of jeans, white T-shirt, and pashmina, which will be responsible for the differentiated touch.
“ For a more modern outfit, pantacourt pants can gain a touch of sophistication when paired with pashmina, another asset in this look is that the pashmina is close to the face, drawing attention to the upper torso, giving the feeling of inches more on the silhouette and illuminating the woman’s face”, adds the fashion consultant to create a look full of personality.
Pashmina with skirt

Long or short skirts can be part of the look also made up of pashminas. In addition to the traditional ties, the pashmina can also be worn over the shoulders without any ties, which will also help elongate the silhouette.
About the combinations, Danyla also gives tips: “If the pashmina is colored, the look will be more informal and youthful, while if the choice is for neutral or monochromatic colors, with the same color as the clothes, the look will be more elegant and sophisticated ”. The consultant also points out that it can be used with many turns around the neck, like a collar, or just supported on the shoulders and closed with a brooch.
pashmina with dress

This combination can transit in everyday and casual looks, but also in more formal events, such as weddings and graduations. Well, the accessory can be a real joker to complement your more elaborate looks in situations where you need to protect yourself from the cold wind or air conditioning.
“In order not to make the look so ridiculous, it’s best to opt for less unusual compositions, combine the pashmina with more casual dresses like jeans, knit or ribbed”, advises Danyla to create a look with less of a party look. Using pashmina to simulate a collar or even a vest can also be a great option to complement dresses.
Pashmina with belt

Belts are sure-fire accessories to mark the waist and enhance the silhouette. They can also overlap the pashminas, and the most suitable are the thinner models, so as not to conflict with the pashmina and carry the look.
“This way of wearing the pashmina is modern, elegant and can be used with any shape, as it enhances any silhouette”, adds consultant Danyla, indicating a great incentive to bet on this combination.
Pashmina for the coldest days

To create elegant combinations on winter days, Danyla suggests monochromatic looks complemented by pashminas in the same color chart. For low temperatures, the pashmina can be worn around the neck or layered on the shoulders, over the look.
“Another modern way is to wear the pashmina inside the coat closed under the neck with the ends down so as not to add too much volume to the silhouette, or the pashmina inside the open coat, however, with a belt to finish everything off, leaving the waist marked higher , without too much volume”, still recommends Danyla to elongate the silhouette and finish the look with sophistication.
